| The Hush Sound – The Artist Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I don't understand the part where she sings, "love, will you turn out the lights, cause we're already home..." does she mean that she's already in love? Or that she's sick of this love? AHH I'm so confused |
| The Spill Canvas – Bound To Happen Lyrics | 19 years ago |
awwww so freaky!! this song is exactly what i'm goin through right now...clearly it's a break up song and for a good part of the relationship things were goin well and they were the "perfect" couple but then things just starting disintingrating. Like when he says "Although you're sleeping right next to me Well, it feels like you are wide awake in a distant dream" and then he is just kinda saying things weren't working out and how they are both sad about that and she really did change his life forever. but im confused on the part where he says, "Your chest would heave with pride if I were spoken of 'Till tonight I never knew the difference between comfort and love" so is he saying that he wasn't in love? cuz then later he says, "It took our masterpiece we built and broke it in two I always believed in you I always loved you" so is he just contradicting himself or did he realize that he really did love her? I absolutly love tsc. Prolly my favorite band at the moment. this is definitly one of their best songs! |

| The All-American Rejects – My Paper Heart Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love this song! Definitly a good break up song. I just saw them in concert this past tuesday and they played this song and it was A-MAZING! And right before they played it Tyson said, "This song goes out to anyone whose ever been in love and then got shit on!" Haha that made me giggle cuz i'm going through this right now | |
| The All-American Rejects – 11:11 P.M. (CST) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
tyson ritter rocks!!! Freedomis40oz why are you even posting if a comment if you hate the band so much? yeah I love the time 11:11...bands use it a lot in their songs...like in Konstantine by something corporate...andrew sings "I always catch the clock, it's 11:11 and now you wanna talk" hmmm just thought I'd make that connection. But definitly think this song is about second chances and the guy wants to get back with is girlfriend. "It's a chance to fix mistakes One more for the last time Don't you throw our dreams away Don't waste this chance with your smile" It's 11:11 and a guy is making a wish to get back with his girlfriend "Ten seconds left on this star" |

| Panic! at the Disco – There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I don't know why but this song reminds me of Holden Caulfield and just like his time in NYC...i don't know | |
| Fall Out Boy – Switchblades and Infidelity Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| wtf why did no one post about the meaning of this song (by this song i don't mean "tell that mick he just my list of things to do today" and "grand theft autumn.) I don't care what you're favorite fob song is. Wtf does this song, "switchblades and infedelities" mean? | |
| Jewel – (Poem) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i love jewel's poetry, sure it's simple, and maybe it doesn't rhyme, yeah it's straight forward and so what if it's not full of metaphors, similies, personification, and symbolism, isn't that stuff for english class...isn't it nice to read poetry that you can relate to and you understand and that you don't have to spend an hour trying to figure out the meaning...to wrap it up jewel's poetry is "simply" beautiful | |
| Motion City Soundtrack – The Future Freaks Me Out Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is about how they ( the singer and betty) want to change the world and make a difference "We fail at everything we ever even try to attempt and so the story goes As only betty knows It’s time to take control" but they never end up doing anything about, like a lot of people today... "We waste away the days With nicotine and television samples From an era we hate to admit we embrace We fail to represent We fail to be content" and eventually they give up all hope, "If we could both find a way To do the things that we say We might not sit in our rooms And drink our daydreams away Betty I’m a dreamer No I’m not a vicious schemer Oh betty won’t you-oh, fuck it" this song is basically my life |
| Switchfoot – Ammunition Lyrics | 20 years ago |
um im gonna piggyback off of pyro. this song is saying stop blaming the government, stop blaming the minorities, your past, and so on and so on but really if we wanna see change it's up to us...we are the powerkeg to cannon...like Gandhi said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world" also i think it's sorta politely condemning what our society is like today and how corrupt it is. "Look what a mess we've made of love We've got ourselves to blame Look what a bomb we made of love" |
| Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics | 20 years ago |
is this song about suicide? Because when Pete sings the chorus the last time you can hear in the backround "take aim at myself, take back what you said" And he is talking about a gun, "I’ll be your number one with a bullet A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it?" Hmmm? Ponder that... |
| Anna Nalick – Wreck of the Day Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"Maybe I'm not up for being a victim of love All my resistance will never be distance enough" I love this love. So poetic. So true. Love always has this way of pulling us in. Not that i can talk or anything... |
| Anna Nalick – Citadel Lyrics | 20 years ago |
yeah, i kinda always thought this song was about the contemplation of suicide...but i wasnt really sure...cuz she says... "I'm sitting on a citadel contemplating life" "What if I fall? What if I don't? What if I never make it home? What if I bleed? What if I break, and I find that I can't take the city below the citadel" i don't know. maybe im just taking it too literally. what do you think? |

| Skye Sweetnam – Fallen Through Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I love this song. I can totally relate to it. "that you don't want me to see You threw my heart away That's the price that I paid I know it's never fair, promised me You'd always be there But you never really cared" ^amazing! |
| Skye Sweetnam – Hypocrite Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i love this song because it totally bashes labels and sterotypes | |
| Something Corporate – (Hurricane) The Formal Weather Pattern Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think this song is about falling in love...you know a hurricane being the metaphor...i love the piano part it is sooo beautiful...my favorite part is "You don't do it on purpose But you make me shake Now I count the hours 'til you wake With your baby's breath Breathe symphonies Come on sweet catastrophe" my bf used to quote that all the time |
