This song to me suggests it's an expression of feeling unappreciated by someone for a long time. Giving us imagery of traveling at night in one season and then feeling the same thing dealing with the same scenario in another place in another season still under the moon. |

it seems to be about a relationship living amongst a menagerie of problems. Insanity, loneliness, pride, while he has reached a conclusion that all these qualms are pathetic excuses for doing better. As if he's herd them so many times now he has no more sympathy or apathy. |

Imagine how upsetting this song would be to hear after 1997 when Jeff drowned in the Mississippi River. Elizabeth (singer of This Mortal Coil and Cocteau Twins) had a close if not intimate relationship (this has never been defined) with Jeff. The original singer and writer of this song being his Father Tim Buckley back in the 70's. |

This song has a great base line. This song has lots of religious under tones to me. Also says alot of letting go of conventionalism. |

I think this is a song made to express someone elses veiw. I think this is him writing about her one morning, and then also talks about what she's been saying. Because he says "A modern girl
Taken with thought still prone to care" saying she's a thinker and moden thinking usually implies you treat life quite clinically. Which is what the chorus is. |

"I can't just stay the course
Keep my hands on the wheel" the word stay is meant to be steer, and it's (nice, nice, nice). Secondly this song has to be about being hopeless when it comes to being faithful.look. "It'll take all my strength to give up
But you all know I've tried
So forget about it girl" is like saying "it will will be difficult to stop cheating, I've tried. You better leave I'm only going to keep doing it." |

It says a bit too me. The intense frustration somone goes through when they don't believe the person they are in love with feels things the way they do. The anger that fires up inside you when you realise the person you love doesn't understand and never has. The feeling that makes you want to abuse them because you feel betrayed. |

"Blood running down the inside of her legs
The moon in the sky is battered and mangled
bAnd the bells from the chapel go jingle-jangle"
Never have a seen lyrics so raw and intense. This is what I love about this song. |

So it's Rorschach and Prozac and everything is groovy! Ahh man I love the sense of complete "manic" that surrounds those lines. I think this song is about being beyond denial and strait into insanity. It's that happy wide eyed looks you get when you sing it. While anyone could read the lyrics as being sarcastic, you know that the character isn't being sarcastic, instead she's trying to hold on to what ever happiness she can obtain even if it's a lie. |

Ok this song to me is telling a story it a very metaphorical way. I'd like to think he's upset a close friend/interest by fooling around while on tour overseas. He's trying to drown his sorrows by taking some kind of drug acid or whatever and calls trys calling her when he's off his head. I'm taking into concideration that he met mary in highschool and they would have been married when this song was made for sure. So the church part might have more to do with her then somone random chick in america (like others have sugested). "FOR A NOT SO EARLY BIRD ITÕS THE ONLY WAY FOR HER TO GET THE WORM... " to me suggests that because of distance between him and mary (mary being in the UK) she's using past issues to attack him for what he's upto in america |
