Yeah I'm not sure why all these deeper-meaning drug & nostalgia references come in. I thought it was just a mellow/depressing song about a young, innocent boy who's in the hospital for some reason or another. His mother takes care of him, his best friend comes to see him. He seems fine being in the hospital, but at times he longs to go outside and play with the other kids ("The noise from the street, Is making me wish I, Was back on my feet")
But hey after all, it is Porcupine Tree. Perhaps they made this song a reference to drugs n nostalgia cause they're weird like that. But I think its just a good song about a boy in the hospital. |

I saw Arch Enemy yesterday at Gigantour 2 here in Colorado. They were AMAZING. I think they're one of the best melodic death metal bands along with In Flames. This song has an apparent anarchy theme, probably refering to government or authority. Frickin awesome song.

This is a freaking awesome song. Angela is one of the greatest death metal vocalists ever. I think this song is about the government being the "nemesis" and the revolutionaries are united against it. Pretty cooool. |

The correlation between "Nemo" meaning "Nobody" and "One of the lost ones" is pretty significant. Whatever, this is a great song no matter which interpretation is used.

Amazing song. One of my favorites from Sonata Arctica. It's about this guy who has a son who has committed crimes ("The father ain't always like the son") and so people in the town blame him for random crimes. And so he burns the town down, and then flees. Or something like that.
Love the beginning. It's pretty cool. Kinda reminded me of Gollum from Lord of the Rings, like he's speaking to himself. Well, the evil part of himself. Maybe that's what the song is about. A guy whose "evil side" is making him to horrible things that he doesn't think he did. But I doubt it. Just maybe.
Anyway, this is an AMAZING song. |

I just saw The Sounds in concert on Friday, and it was awesome. This song is my favorite. I think it's about someone being abused, but that person knows that someday they'll "rise to the top", so they'll take the abuse without resent. Kinda weird, but it's meaningful, I guess. |

Heh, this is an awesome song. It's weird, yes, buy nonetheless great. System of a Down successfully combines interesting synthesizer sounds with their heavy melodic rifts. And the lyrics are... random. But then again, so are the lyrics on most of their other work.

This is a very emotional song, one that really makes me reflect upon the true meanings of love and devotion. It's beautifully crafted, with every element of a perfect song. This is my favorite song on Plans, along with Crooked Teeth and Soul Meets Body.
