| Mason Proper – Lights Off Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Its pretty obvious what this song is about. The line "How much disappears when I turn the lights off?" means, how much of you is based on your looks, and how much is truly personallity. mp kicks ass. | |
| Chiodos – There's No Penguins In Alaska Lyrics | 20 years ago |

The meaning of this song is fairly obvious to me, but maybe there's a deeper meaning. I think that this song is about loving someone and wanting them to love you, but hating them for the lack of emotion they send your way. "Playing roulette with a flower"...how do they do it?? |

Yes the song is great. Chiodos are great. Being kissed on the hand is great. But. This site is for finding out the meaning of the song. Not talking about being kissed on the hand. That's what the message board on their website is for. So. Stick to the song meanings people. But I suppose I'd be a hyporcrite if I didn't give my contribution to the meaning so here it is: In my opinion, this song is about a man who cheated on his woman, and now he hates himself for it and doesn't know what to do. This is shown by the "there is a cliff, with sky high peaks, make your way to the very brim of it" line. I may be wrong, but that's what I took from it. AND Chiodos kick ass, this song kicks ass, and I'm proud to have such a good band come out of Michigan. |

I also agree with the meaning, but here it is a little more in depth. This song is about a man who is a criminal (hense "enemy") but not only has he decided to stop feeling bad about his crimes, but continue to do them because he feels that it is his role: I can’t forgive And I can’t forget Don’t you know who the fuck I am I’m the enemy So knowing that he is the "enemy," he continues his crimes with the belief that being the "enemy" is his role and purpose in life. Awesome song, GREAT vocals, and nice intro/outro |

| Roadrunner United – Army of the Sun Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I've had this album for a while but the only songs I listened to at first were the first 4. But now, having heard the whole album, I enjoy it a lot more. To me this song DOES sound like a man being seperated from his loved one...but a little more literally, I noticed some things about this song. For instance, the title, Army Of The Sun. I have read enough about WWII to know that Japan's army was dubbed "The Army Of The Sun" (from the rising sun on their flag). That may not have any relevence to the song, but look at this line here: "I raise my white flag It’s the last flag I’ll ever raise Don't stay away Staring at you and all you are" Japan surrendered, correct? Also, I read a book about the Pacific war, in which the japanese soldiers feared for their lives, when (and if) they surrendered (which most of them didn't), which may have some relevence to the part "I raise my white flag, It’s the last flag I’ll ever raise." Or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. |
