ACTUALLY. i just thought about it. i can see how that can be taken both ways. the moon is defo the girl. always is. its prettier. "bella luna". how are the lyrics ambiguous in terms of which one's the girl and which one's the boy? "When the sun found the moon She was drinking tea out in a garden" "When the moon found the sun He looked like he was barely hanging on" seems pretty straight forward to me. ??????? xxx |

i dont think its meant to be taken like a story. they're telling it like a story ut really they're saying lots of little things. i think its probably actually about writing songs. I love this song. Before I say what I think it means, I'd like to say that it really bugs me that whenever I come on here and read the comments people make, there are always loads of bitchy ones. Why can't people just leave a nice comment and not name names and try to make other people look stupid? So, I think it's no way a song about a boy and a girl. I think it's about generally the sruggles in life, and battling with depression etc. Ya know, they refer to pills alot like in "Sophomore slump or comeback of the year" there is the line, "i need to take a pill to make this town feel ok" or something like that anyway. So they defo like talking about the affects that drugs, especailly medicational ones have on people. I know that suffering from depression can maim your life, as it has done to me, so I think Pete has a right to have a rant every now and then. Maybe he finds it hard to talk to people so he writes songs to express himself. Whoa! I wrote a little novel there. | I love this song so much! why is everyone trying to be clever about it? lol. to me it's a story about a hooker who uses a sleazy motel for her "business". she sleeps with a lawyer. BUT i think she is just virgin rather than "virgin" to start with because the lawyer thinks she is but she lied to him so she was more appealling. maybe? anyway, then when he leaves she is busted by the cops-hence the crash with the BADGE. i personally thought she is trying to bribe the cop out of arresting her by holding her "purse". get me? then again there are the "uncut" lyrics which suggest she is being arrested because she has drugs. ill check back to see what ya'll think. xxx | |
