I think this song might be about the end of a relationship and killing. You won't listen to me. I'm just ignoring this. And "went for the neck" may represent killing or wanting to kill. "Dragged you out into the street Before you buckled at your knees (buckled at your knees)" Pulled you into the street and left you to die. "Whats it feel like to be a ghost?..." What does it feel like to be dead? "This is quick but not quite painless it sits perched on your arm Tacky and irrelevant, so what? For some reason this song makes me laugh. and to answer Desterado's question, the booklet with the CD says "gutting you out" but the lyrics aren't always 100% correct. I read that Fred && Adam had always written the lyrics together. but alot of times Fred would just hand the songs over to Adam. |
