This song is about how Alex was at a party in Glasgow and these girls were shouting suggestive things in his ear and he wrote them down and then he wrote the song the next day. Its not gay, its just written in the perspective of the girls. Why don't people do research on this stuff, instead of assuming you know the whole story and thinking they're gay. If they were, fine, big deal, I like alot of gay and bisexual artists. But they're either all married or they have girlfriends. |

Okay, if this was a gay song, I'd have no problems with it. In fact, I partly wished that it was...I find that sort of thing to be very sexy. But really, I'm going to believe the band when they said that it wasn't. They're not the types of people who would be really guarded about what they say. If they were, they wouldn't have that (amazing) blog on their website. They all have girlfriends and/or wives anyway. Oh and I saw some quotes from the actual Michael. He just said that his mother was proud of him and asked him if he was gay or not, and that he had way too much to drink that night so he got up on the podium to dance. Also, he said the band found it hilarious so they wrote a song about it. |

| Seems like its about sex to me. I think the song is about a girl who has this bad reputation, and there's this boy who is rich and part of the high life sort of thing, but they have this sort of secret sexual encounter, or something like that. | |

I think this song is about someone the band knows and its written in his perspective. And I know its written in third person in some places, but people do refer to themselves that way sometimes. Thats just my take on it, anyway. Its a great song, I quite like it. The vocals on it are really good. |

Christ, to all those people out there saying its a gay song, well its not (where has all the humour gone in this world?). Do some effing research, for God's sake. Alex Kapranos said, numerous times, that he went to a club with the band and some friends, and their friends consummed a large quantity of alcohol. So that lead to a rather debauched form of dancing. Oh and BTW, each band member is currently involved with a woman, to my understanding. And they have, in fact, written songs about them. Which is clear if you look at the rest of their lyrics. Anyway, this is a great song. I love it, and I love the music video. This song is hilarious, it always makes me laugh. But I want to dance at the same time. |
