| Danger Doom – Crosshairs Lyrics

I think the narrative is about the Villain DOOM falling in love with a girl who other just don't see as his type. MF is acting as the narrator talking about how out of character it is for him to do something like that. Its only for a moment though, as at the end of the song DOOM is faced with the prospect of losing his reputation over her, and leaves.
At first I hated this song, but now that I've listened to it, its one of my favorites on TM&TM. It feels deeper than the rest of the CD. |

Hopefully you're all joking, and I'm the dumb one for not playing along, but this is definitely just one giant metaphor for trying to get laid.
I mean, this song might as well be Hungry Like the Wolf. |

The instrumentals have that epic build-up that I love about RBF.
The song is probably another "I broke up with you but I'm still in love with you" song that is actually referring to a producer or manager or something. There's definitely a pattern here. |

A lot of the strokes songs, when you interpret them from the standing of a relationship, imply that the singer knows that the relationship is shallow, or that its bound to end. In this case, he's not angry that things are ending.
He expected it, and doesn't plan on going through the motions most relationships try to. Compare it to most high school relationships after graduation. |

I think it draws a nice parallel to both RBF's situation and growing up in general.
A person who, by some odd chance has done something to inadvertantly gain the ire of his equals. The instrumentals just sound so epic near the end, it sounds like the person is finally had enough of it. |

| Reel Big Fish – Why Do All Girls Think They're Fat? Lyrics
| 18 years ago

The new version of the song is changed slightly...
"She drinks the tears from my eyes..." is "She makes me look at her thighs, you know I don't have to lie."
I think its about a guy who's into his female friend, but she won't let it go any further, because it will most likely ruin the friendship. He doesn't quite get this, or he doesn't care. Either way, his feelings are out there, and now he's embarassed. |

He puts the pussy on a pedastal. He's idolizing this girl without ever meeting her, like he always does. He doesn't want to pursue it, because it never works out. Its pretty self-defeating. |

| Reel Big Fish – The Bad Guy Lyrics

I think the song is being sarcastic. He broke up with a girl, and in reality, the relationship sucked; it was mostly her fault. But because he ended it, he's the bad guy. She and her friends and family are going to ignore her flaws, and just pile on him, and he expects it. |

This track definitely made me forget about Del, if even for a second, and download his stuff. Wow... 99% of the rap I listen two is through Gorillaz. I'm so white. |

I think the first two lines mean, he has dreams and goals, but he lacks the means or willpower to try and grab them.
I think he's being more down on himself than anyone else. |

Maybe someday, we'll look back and laugh at the times we shared. But right now, I don't want to see or have anything else to do with you again. More like a shouting match with a friend, where you yell, "I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR BITCH ASS EVER AGAIN!" Knowing full well you'll see them the next day at school or work. |

I can't remember, but I think this is track one on "We're Not Happy..." Which might've been intentional, considering the album's theme.
The song is about that momment when you realize you've hung onto something a bit too long. They've realized they're jaded, and don't know if it'll ever be like before again. |
