This song to me is amazing that every single time I hear it I get shivers thinking about the entire aspect of it.
What amazes me more is the fact that this song is not even going to come close to the amount of glory God will show on this day when it happens.
Our God is amazing, remember to stand strong for Him, because He not only has for you but would 1000 more times if He had to. He will not forget you if you do not forget Him!
This song is amazing, I cannot help to think about what will actually happens when this day arises, and don't worry we'll all be there! =) |

I think that this is about John the baptist but could also be taken from anyone who feels that God or Jesus isn't helping them any with the lines like "In shadows I'm walking, and caught in loneliness, deliverance I wait for but how long?" Where the person either John or someone in general is looking to God or Jesus to do fix all their problems or save them from their grief. I believe the last verse though would be like Christs answer to their pleas especially the "They believe in me Look! The signs are near to perform my task, to perform my way to perform the way I walked, the way of the crucifix." There are multiple times in the Gospel of Matthew alone that Jesus says things like "Look! the time is near, the signs are near" such like that. John the Baptist was beheaded, though perhaps the last verse would be Christ's last plea on the Cross such as he did in the bible with "aloi aloi..." verse in Matthew. this is just my interpretation though. |

Or for a more realistic view of the song, it is most likely to go with the Scarecrow story to maybe go in between Devil in the belfry and I don't believe in your love, "An army of scarecrows like me
Thousands of brokens dreams
Thousands of tragedies
Tried to run from their destiny"
The Guy eventually in the story goes crazy as what Tobias says in the interview at the back of the booklit from the CD and eventually it seems to take it out on the girl he went after... His hole life he had no one to love and cherish and the one person he finds the just totally gets beaten down by, so he beats back...
But I guess you can take the lyrics how ever you like, just realism is nice... Carry Me over wasn't that bad, read the lyrics and listen to the song it really isnt that bad, and lost in space... Well.... I have no clue what the hell is going on there |

Really, this song would kick so much more ass if it was about the lord of the rings instead of political bullshit haha, i mean at least anyone who listens to Blind guardian could all agree that Lord of the rings no one could fight over and would be much more satisfying to listen to from the bards! Awesome instruments though |

I think it is about the chapter in the Lord of the rings Journey through the dark, when the fellowship goes through the Mystical Moria, or perhaps it is about the bards journey, (before the song the bards song) and their everyday life in the fantasy of blind guardian... |

Actually the first guitar solo in the begining is one of the only few that their other guitarist Marcus plays not Andre, rather odd but it is true just watch the Imaginations through the looking glass DVD on this song you will see Marcus play the lead not andre. |

Probably about Mans lust for learning all about this world and knowning all about anything... His wandering lust to be free and explore things that may be considered "forbitten" By others or to have the passion to do what he wills... (this doesnt just apply for men :P Women surely have the same lust) Atleast that is what this song means to me, because the whole
No return - I will go, follow the call of my spirit
No return - I must know all that I never could ask
No return
The Call of my spirit is the will of the man to go wherever and find what ever... |

This song is obviously about most Christian obsession with the end times... And what is not to be obsessed with? How revelation deplicts it, it is facinating. It is about how most christians are hypocritical about things how they call others sinners, but look not at what they do. And It is also about excaping this world through say a book, a game, your imagination, a movie, anything that is not real it could even be music if you will. It would be about how someone may read a book about fantasy and some christians would say it is the work of the devil for it leads you away from God. Yes I am a christian, yet i know that things like magic, and such cannot be prevented and you may as well let man do what he wills for his will, will drive him into what ever he desires.... But that is what this song means to me... If anyone else agress that is cool but aye, I listen to music and especially metal to get away from this world and go to my own little world within the music and my imagination... It is just mind candy anyway :P |

It seems he might be a Christian Anra, Perhaps this song maybe about a Sinner who leads a life full of sin... And at the end he sees Johns Revelation come true... Perhaps this is what this means, that is how I interpreted it. |

This song I believe is about the last book of the Bible, called Revalation. In this a Anti-Christ or a false massiah comes to (save) the people. How ever instead he will bring us to our doom if people follow him.
"The Listen to what the prophet speaks to you" is someone claming that he is not the true massiah but a false one Or the anti christ. Least that is what i believe |

Its about the Stupid Christians in Christianity. There are 2 types of Christians Stupid ones and smart ones, I am a smart one, this one is about the stupid ones which give you answers to questions such as "Trust in God" which isnt really an answer at all it is more of a order or command. There are smart people amung us Christians though. |

It is a continuation of the Alcohol Anonymous that dream theater likes to do. "Tear down these walls for me" and in the song The Glass Prison and the Dying Soul talk about the same thing which would be gettin out of the Addiction of alcohol. One of the steps which this one is leaning into would be the one about God which says in the rules or what ever they have: somethin about accepting the being above you to lead your life. Which the being above you would be God. |

This is about The Glass Prison (the tiltle obviously) which Would be a bottle of beer ,Whisky, rum, that obviously the drumer Mike Portnoy was addicted to which at the end it says somethin about a door bein shut, right before he starts prayin (which is one of the Steps in the AA) ( i think about 6 steps i dont know but i think im close) which would be to trust God or somethin in that motion. Then it says somethin about the glass prision bein broken and then the door is open. which would mean he is no longer addicted to it. |
