Why is "party like a rockstar" repeated so many times? It's because this is supposed to be a catchy song you dance and sing along to. This song isn't spoofing rock, it's about what DesertEMT said. They would like to be like rockstars; hell their album is called "Rockstar Mentality." This song has grown on me. My boyfriend is into rap/hip hop music while I favor rock/metal. This song merges our taste together; I love the guitar in the background. |

My boyfriend introduced this song to me; upon hearing it, his friend said that this song being so popular proves that hip hop is truly dead. I'm not sure if I agree. I think songs should have meaning to them but not all songs need to touch your soul, some are just for fun such as this one, in my opinion, seems to be. |

This song seems to be about a girl who's trying to get back at an ex. "You once made this promise To stay by my side But after some time you just pushed me aside You never thought that a girl could be strong Now I'll show you how to go on" He used her but then she stood up to him. But, the rest of the song tells how she bounced back and how she holds the reins. She's the one who booty calls him and doesn't feel a thing for him but maybe he does: "Be my bad boy, be my man Be my week-end lover But don't be my friend You can be my bad boy But understand That I don't need you in my life again" |
