We can all pull out different meanings from this song but I think 'bought by blood' kinda hit it on the target because I was pretty much thinking the same. 'So bored of losing ground to the heresy, In our hearts' signifies how maybe a opinion has been chose may have been by a sinful self... then again I could be wrong. Off with your head We'll cut out all that's a hinderance Bleed the old man' Could might as well be talking about a battle within... and cutting back any sins and obsessions that might be holding you back, the word "Hindrance" means any immaterial that interferes with or delays action or progress. and it may very be talking about them breaking away from their old sound you can never really rule anything out. The five letter word is Death and this song is referring to the plague that is mentioned in the christian bible and Im going along with Geeraffs answer to the "Stick Figure" concept as well. "This town made its guesses But can't spell her own name." Is talking about how some people with different beliefs during the plauge and tried their rituals how it cost them dearly... it said somewhere i believe something int he context of 'smear the blood of the innocent over the entrance of which you live and I shall not enter' or something like that I really can't remember the full scripture |
