| i actually used to think Tomas said "My giant eyes have seen enough" so everytime i heard the song i would wonder why. | |
| The Agony Scene – The Darkest Red Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I bleed this blasphemy, this sin that courses through my veins. It burns beneath the scars of my decay. This suffering, These fingers claw against my flesh. I pray for this touch that takes away my breath. I pray for death. this is my final breath, the choking end of misery. My walls collapse. I pray for death. This is my final breath. Peel back the flesh to watch it bleed. The Darkest Red. I pray for death. We share this suffering. One open wound, a whispered cry. It breathes in me. Draining the life from the inside. In ecstasy exposing my flesh to darkest red. I can't resist this touch that takes away my breath. I pray for... this is my final breath, the choking end of misery. My walls collapse. I pray for death. This is my final breath. Peel back the flesh to watch it bleed. The Darkest Red. I pray for death. Feel me, Breathe me, Bleed me. I beg you this is my final breath, the choking end of misery. My walls collapse. I pray for death. This is my final breath. Peel back the flesh to watch it bleed. The Darkest Red. I pray for death. |

| The Agony Scene – Suffer Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| my favorite next to Scars of your Disease. think about it. perfect lines...suffering of loss....it's about the pain of life, suffering, attempting suicide and death (laying down). but i think this song is rather against suicide, since it says "lay down and you'll suffer" meaning do it and you screwed up. and then that dying for your painful life is a mistake. | |
| At the Gates – Blinded By Fear Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| to me it's about making a suicidal decision due to the feeling that life is a misery. like most of their songs...the pain is nauseating. i love this band. | |
| God Forbid – Washed-Out World Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| the song to me means that the world is a tragic mess and for it to end is a huge relief. but instead it gets worse and worse and will possibly destroy itself in the end. this is one of my absolute favorite songs ever. | |
| God Forbid – Gone Forever Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| to me the song means that God is missing and he should return or appear, which would relieve this person and give him hope. meaning he's either losing faith or questioning God's existence. i got this song easy. and also, to contribute to the atheist argument...what kind of atheist band would name themselves 'God' Forbid? they'd exclude God completely. and also...just to make sure there isn't another coming argument...i'm going to cover now and say that this band is not at all satanic. and satanic bands aren't bad either (and this is coming from a Christian). | |
