Although it seems like they have mocked christianity in the past, like in the song "suite-pee":
"lie naked on the floor and let the messiah go out through our souls"
This may be portraying that christians would think anyone is the messiah and just let it slip by them. At least thats what I think they are saying. I dont think they would ever mock Jesus though |

^^to the people tht wanted to know SOAD's religion. I believe they are actually Jewish. i could be mistaken, but its just what i've heard. If they are Jewish then it really wouldnt make much sense to mock Jesus and Christianity...because Jews also respect Him as a prophet of God, even if they don't believe He is the messiah as Christians do. |

i think i get it now.. he and the girl are addicted to heroin so they sell themselves in order to afford it. and the "i need some one to save her/my ass" he either means to help us defeat the addiction, or to give them more money/heroin. the verses are just the situations that they are going through as prostitutes |

maybe when he says "selling ass for heroin", he isnt saysing it like selling ass IN EXCHANGE for heroin. Hes saying that he wants the girl (heroin) so bad that he is trying to earn cash for her by selling himself as a prostitute. |

i have not read every comment yet, so forgive me if this has already been said.
I believe that the song is about how MTV and VH1 and the radio are taking over the musical world. And how people just sit in front of their television all day watching music videos. I dont think System of a Down care much about this because all of their videos are mostly just them playing in front of a crowd of people and are really nothing special. Im not sure about the Danny and Lisa part though... |
