its not "savannah shoulder" its "so then a shoulder"...duh this is pretty good this has a lot of things he doesnt use too often like the guitar and the violins and its pretty rocking like not his usual sty;e so i think its pretty unique. I think its clear--were all so stupid like we have no idea whats going on but we still try anyway in our own ways |

When the two voices are talking and the piano is playing, dont you hear elliott say "that's why," imean, when i first heard that he committed suicide (alegedly) i thought of that part |

I think this song is about something so much deeper than just technology and advancement. So many of Modest Mouse's songs are about the very essence of life and trying to get a feeling across. To me this is all about the view. To see the world as it really is, to see it in its true beauty, is so painful, because the world is really a terrible place. He says his life is long and awful; this is such a resigned feeling. He says that if to see beauty is painful then he'd rather not even see the beaty. This ties in with the bliss. He's saying, forget trying to see the world as it really is, because it really sucks, instead, im just gunna take all the shit and just be happy in my complete blindness to what the world is really like |
