Such an amazing song to play and listen to. Me and my band played it at one of our gigs, everyone LOVED it, they were singing along, it was truely amazing. I always thought this song was about a young couple that were running away with eachother, and he nearly cried when he had to say good bye to everyone. They ran away because of a mess that was made 'It'll take a life time to get out of this mess' Just a thought=) Songs can be interpretated anyway really, just enjoy the song and love Snow Patrol! |

I can really relate to this song, the lyrics bring back the memories. But hes too shy to ask her out, and then she finds all of his little nots that he wrote to her, but never gave them to her, and shes disgraced. I love this song, the lyrics just scream out to me as being amazing! I think its about a guy who can only be set free by his girlfriend, because hes in love with someone else. But the girlfriend won't let him go, and she kills herself because he doesn't love her anymore. This makes him depressed and says 'kill me now...' The 'heaven sends and heaven takes' bit is saying how heaven has sent an angel down from heaven, and then he takes her away. Beautiful song. Could be interpritated anyway that you want it to really... =D |

I love this song. Its so dark and spooky. But its got that real hint of romance in it. To me its about a guy whos had a chance with a girl. And then knows he can't have another chance with her, because of another guy. Or because the girl doesn't want to spend another night with him again. And yeah, Gary Lightbody is so hot! ;-) |
