| David Bowie – Fantastic Voyage Lyrics

This songs seems to be talking about suicide. The fantastic voyage is life. If it ends "we never get old". The depression part could be referencing his half-brother who was institutionalized and commited suicide (although this happened in 1985, after the song was written). Regardless of who the song is about, it seems to be a plea for choosing life and dealing with depression and violent behaviors. |

| David Bowie – Blackout Lyrics

The first verse and a half seem to be about a club with cage dancers that are too expesive for his tastes. "I just cut and blackout" seems to be a reference to cocaine... cutting it, snorting it, and then blacking out. The fourth verse seems to be about a relationship going bad. I'm not really sure about much of the rest... probably drugs and relations (the things that filled his life during the late 70's) |

| They Might Be Giants – Road Movie To Berlin Lyrics

I've always thought that this song might be from the point of the german soldiers retreating back to Berlin and realizing that they were mislead by their superiors. They now know they did bad things but they themselves are not bad people. It seems that the song is a sad reminicesnse of how they thought they were so close to victory for Germany but now they drink a toast to what could have been. |
