dunno if this was already posted.
I think this song is about someone trying to cope with what the world has become after what the government has done with it. It might even be about the world ending since there are a lot of clues pointing to that. (ie. lamenting about how he could have been a better person, "final" time the sun shines.) |

Couldn't this song tie into the Year Zero storyline a bit more? To me this song this told from the Point of View of a US soldier who does not want to be one of them who takes the Die-agra (or whatever it's called) and becomes a killing machine.
The beginning verse could be him getting recruited, and the choruses are him trying not to be noticed as a soldier with the potential to "murder everything".
