| I have a confession to make, I went to the same school as the monkeys, same year in fact. You say the lyrics are crap, the wierd thing is that they are all about real places, like when he says, ur not from new york your from Rotherham, It jus makes it even funnier, maybe its a little hard for you to understand wha it means but Rotherham is a dive to be honest. Just because you may not get some of the in jokes does not mean that the lyrics are crap. Really, I've played the album to 8 people so far and every one has said how true and real the lyrics are even if I've had to explain the jokes to the southerners! | |

firstly ntwjones, british rock aint about trying to be american, its about tryin not to be american, we're sick of always being compared. Just because we speak the same language doesn't mean were share the ideals, ideals which are fundamental to the songs we write. Ok, so in production terms america is far ahead of britain but have you ever heard an american band sound anything like the Arctic's, Maximo Park or even have the attitude of the Stone Roses or Oasis?
