| My Little Airport – gigi leung is dead Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Does anyone know if this song is about singer Gigi Leung? If so, I would think this song is about growing out of musical interests. | |
| Cut Copy – So Haunted Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| If it wasn't in the name of the song I would think he was saying "I get so horny that I misunderstood tonight". I mean, that totally makes sense even as crude as it is. Idk, sorry, kinda pointless comment. | |

| The Organ – Don't Be Angry Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The line "don't be angry, i will die lonely" pretty much sums up this song for me. Don't think any explanation could do it better than that. | |
| The Organ – Don't Be Angry Lyrics | 17 years ago |

i have to sneak in and put on your oil you will know where i've been but i need the protection oh what a strange and miraculous thing to finally recognize what is driving me crazy all that i want was here now it's gone all that i want was here now it's gone don't be angry, i don't disagree it is clear that i left my clothes on the highway but i'd like to know if you ever told yourself i could have once given your life some meaning all that i want was here now it's gone all that i want was here now it's gone all that i want was here now it's gone all that i want was here now it's gone don't be angry, i will die lonely Here are the correct lyrics, directly from the the cd booklet. Lower case I-s no punctuation and everything. Exactly from the book I stress. Please change. There may also be mistakes in the other lyrics. Here's an uploaded scanned image of the lyric page. http://img517.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lyricscl0.jpg |

| Handsome Furs – Snakes on a Ladder Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Good description. | |
| The Dodos – Red and Purple Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| There seems to be some obvious reference to WWI in the chorus. How this relates to the singers feelings though I don't know. Anyone got any ideas? | |
| The Dodos – Fools Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Drufus may be right, but it could also just be about someones experience with their father. The third/last part is clear, but it's hard to tell what exactly it's referring to. Something to do with someone's father or something bigger that has to do with society? | |
| The Dodos – Fools Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I've listened to this song many times. I'm still trying to figure it out. | |
| Q Lazzarus – Goodbye Horses Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think Zepkid has the right meaning. | |
| Stars – Take Me to the Riot Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Read all the lyrics. It makes more sense as being about a prostitute. I can see why people might think this would be about a drug dealer but if you read all the lyrics you can see why some lines fit better as being in the prospective of a prostitute. And come on people, not every song is about drugs! This is about something a little more sensitive. A prostitute that is really looking for love and a real life but is trapped by her profession and like most prostitutes, an addiction to drugs. That part is about drugs, but most of the song is about escapism. Take me to the riot, take me away, she is looking for someone to come help her. You can tell that in the lyrics after the first chorus. Either way though the main meaning of the song is about escapism. That much can be easily decided. It's not all about drugs though! Why is that always misread in songs! |

| The Hush Sound – Lighthouse Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Wtf, that video doesn't explain the meaning of the lyrics much at all. W/e, I think zakaie did a pretty good job. Although when you watch the video explanation of the song it makes it seem like there's not a lot of depth to the lyrics which could make some people's explanations just over-analizations. Eh w/e cool song. |

| of Montreal – Gronlandic Edit Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I don't think your exactly right allhailsparta. People seem to think every song is about sex, drugs, or break ups and people can't write about anything else outside those realms. I think some of the others users that posted before have a better grasp on the meaning of this song. | |

| Air – Surfing on a Rocket Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
No it's not about sex. The girls riding on the rocket in the music video are just symbols of sex and sex is just symbol of modern day society. Just like the TV man, the smokestack men, and the priest. They are all different symbols like the media, business, religion, and money. Besides, if not obviously enough already, sex is being mocked in the music video as the girl gets dumped with tar and feathers in the end. It might not matter though because a lot of the time music videos have nothing to do with the song anyway. I think this song is just about running away and the rocket is just a metaphor as to how fast and far the singer wants to go. Although if the music video did have anything to do with the song it would be, in my opinion, about how fast society is riding to it's destruction and the nuclear bomb or rocket is a symbol of how people destroy each other and themselves. And on the other hand this song could be about completely nothing and just a fantasy about riding on a rocket. I think I like that explanation the best. |

| The Postal Service – Clark Gable Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Hah.. Although, what prilla says also makes a lot of sense too. This really does have some cool lyrics. | |
| The Postal Service – Clark Gable Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| After listening to all the heartbreak in Death Cab songs it really makes me wish it would work out like it does in movies like Ben is saying here. Great lyrics, I totally understand what he is saying. | |
| Dntel – Umbrella Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Wow, nice take on it this. Thanks. | |
| Dntel – Umbrella Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I wish someone would tell me what this song might be about. I keep singing the line "You can turn the city upside down if you want to but it won't keep you dry." but I'm not sure what it means. Does anyone have an idea? It feels deep but I can't say why. | |
| Xploding Plastix – Sunset Spirals Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It feels like I'm the only one on the internet that has heard this song. I couldn't find lyrics to this song anywhere, but I fixed that. It is one of their only songs with lyrics so I guess it makes sense. Anyway, I think this song is really cool, I'm not too sure what the lyrics mean though. I think this song might be about running away traveling in planes. | |
