Imogen Heap – Hide and Seek Lyrics 19 years ago
i just want to know one thing: is there anyone that doesn't like the song and finds it completely annoying? i'm not going to bitch about it or anything, i'm just wondering if there is a single other person that shares my view...

Damone – What We Came Here For Lyrics 19 years ago
i think it's fairly simple:

fell in love.
got the relationship.
didn't get the love back.
got pissed, heartbroken.

probably my favorite song of theirs.

AFI – Miss Murder Lyrics 19 years ago
To be honest, I hadn't heard much of AFI before this song, so I don't know much about the band, but I believe that the meaning of this song is quite obvious. Every single post (save a few) missed the point of this one, so here it is:
The chorus is a rhetorical question, asking if taking his life will lead him to (legendary-wise) immortality. He uses the first and second verse as proof to his theory by using James Dean as an example. (I know that some do, but) I'm going to use the fact that many of today's youth do not care about the past as the excuse to why few truly understand this song. James Dean would have been one of the greatest actors of all time if it weren't for his tragic, life-ending car accident at the tender age of twenty-four. He was praised at the time (primarily for Rebel Without a Cause, an exellent example of what a movie should be) but was worshipped after his death.
The first verse stanza tells of how he could stun anyone with his looks, the second part tells us that he died. The secong verse says that even though he's died that people still love him. (Which leads us to the chorus.)
The last verse explains why the singer wants to commit the action. He's pondering the eternal question of "What's the meaning of life?". He believes that the answer is eternal love, but realizes that hope is intertwined with love. He believes that he is currently loved, but has lost all hope that he will continued to be loved in the future. He believes that by taking his life while so young will help him to become immortilized in the hearts of all, similar to James Dean (among others) currently is.
The second part of the second verse is him strengthening his own arguement: He believes that people are not the solid form that we see, but the soul within. What we were promised is that love of which he searches for (the golden ring). He believes that no one is there to help him achieve his goal because he is looked down upon. So with this we know that he will follow through with his plan to kill himself. (Please note that the last line of the second verse is "But who would ever let us put OUR filthy hands upon it")

Sorry if I got too philisophical for some of you, but I really think I understand this song. But I'm not perfect, so what do you think? Let me know.
