I agree with SomethingClever in a metaphorical sense, but according to Ziggy's story as intended by Bowie, Armageddon will occur in Five Years and Ziggy has to come to Earth to save it, he contacts a boy through a radio (see Starman) to see if Earth is ready for him. Also I "A cop knelt and kissed the feet of a priest, and a queer through up at the sight of that" is a commentary on the police's prejudice against homosexuals. |

This song is obviously about sodomy. "when I get stuck where the sun don't shine" Obvious reference to "sticking it where the sun don't shine" "It ain't your mind you're giving me a piece of" This is a reference to "piece of ass" Sodomizing a stupid prostitute is basically what this is about. |
