So if we dont follow Nietzsches writings we have no brain??? I beg to differ. I am not too familiar with Nietzsche, but I do know that his ideas caused a lot of problems in early 20th century Europe. I am, however, familiar with 20th century existensialists such as Sartre and Camus. Camus wrote an essay on this subject, it is called "The Myth of Sysyphus". Personal choice is a main emphasis. The first lines of the essay reads: "There is but one truly serious philisophical problem, and that is suicide. Judging whether life is or is not worth living amounts to answering the funamental question of philosophy." "Through early morning fog I see visions of the things to be" Great line, but maybe that is my small, insignificant brain speaking.... |
