Primus – Seas Of Cheese Lyrics 20 years ago
As a more complete explaination, this is the first track on the first major label album. Les is introducing the listener to this new era of sorts for music. also, letting you know that this isnt your average album

Primus – Arnie Lyrics 20 years ago
it wasnt so much that it was political 1800s, but the late 1800s in general

The entire album was recorded with analog equipment, thats why the drums sound so different on this album. this song is obviously about a guy who wanted his fifteen minutes of fame.

the rest of the album has much to do with events that took place back then, such as going over niagra falls, and boxing matches.

Primus – De Anza Jig Lyrics 20 years ago
Les remembering high school (duh)

Jenny is probably the beauty queen in "Hats off" and the girl behind the glass in "Glass sandwich" (read my comment there to find out why i say that)

the other people were just his friends that did something notable enough for les to remeber them for this long.

he snoted a milk shake right up his nose....wow....high five todd.

Primus – Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers Lyrics 20 years ago
sorry,
*this song was originally inspired by/written about the recent (early 90's) news stories about large numbers of blue collar workers who were addicted to meth.

had to clear up some stuff.

This song was originally written to bring to light the number of blue collar workers who were addicted to meth.

Curious george's drug patrol is the police, asking locals for any leads on any illegal activity. the locals are told that everything will be fine, but they know better. if the police find out about the workers, they would be locked up. But since so many workers were addicted to meth, it would devastate the town.

The workers in this situation figured that since the town depends on them, and since they are already loved by the town, they can do whatever they want.

but since "the flame that burns twice as bright burns only half as long", the workers will eventually burn out completely. les is sayng to the listener at the end of the song to sit back and watch the inevitable and disasterous end of the blue collar drug craze.

or something like that.

Primus – Here Come The Bastards Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with tapandslap. since this is the second song on their first major label album, its sort of letting the listener know that these guys (Primus) are a bunch of bastards that are going to change the way you listen to music. and the "flagrant misuse of security" is not about politians, its about how the band with not bother with being safe with their music.

or something like that

I think this may (or may not) be a true story of les's past. In "De Anza Jig" and "Hats off," he speaks of one of his early girlfriends who happened to lose her virginity to him.

In de anza,
"I remember the day that she gave me her virginity,
and then she gave it ti everyone in our vicinity."

and in hats off,
"At seventeen, I'd get naked with a beauty queen
At the Hot Tub Zone
At nineteen, she was livin' hard and snortin' drugs
That decayed her bones"

It is possible that he is speaking of Jenny, who after she dated les, became a total whore.

Definately worth asking les.

Primus – Eleven Lyrics 20 years ago
This song makes perfect sense.

Les choose to put this in 11 beats per measure (which i count as three 3/4 measures and a 2/4, just to keep correct time of course) because it is obsecure and very few, if any, musicians choose to attempt. The lyrics suggest that les is a sort of outcast that doesnt ever go along with what other people are doing.

put two and two together. why would you sing a song in common time about not fitting in? that would defeat the purpose of the song.
