wow i wish i would have commented on this when the heated debate went on. everyone's believes what they believe.some people are for the war some are against it. in all reality if the government wouln't have lied to us in the first place there wouldn't be so much contraversey. and sad to say the only people that are buying into the media's nonsense are upper middle class and the rich because honestly no one else is buying what they're selling.They said saddam was a threat.They said he killed his own people. How do you know he was a threat? because you heard bush say it? The same bush that said there were weapons of mass destruction. the same bush that puts his laundry lady as supreme court justice, tomorrow he's going to say that jesus is the new director of homeland security hahahahaha! |

first thing revolt:gabecloutier was making a sarcastic statemen he never said that this was r&b. not knocking you or anything.
Now, i've been listening to ratm for about 6 months now, so i'm "not"going to say i'm a hardcore rage fan or anything. i stumbled on some of his lyrics and thats how i started listening. What i am going to say is this: A lot of you guys who commeted on this song being wack are completely missing the point of the song, not only that but your completely missing the point of rage against the machine.Stop worrying about how cool his lyrics are. Rage isn't meant to be mainstream.The important thing is the message not the beat. Hes not trying to top charts with this song or any of his music for that matter. i think thats why he left rage. cause he was getting this mainstream image and people were more focused on him as a star than on the message he was portraying.(don't quote me on that thats my opinion). i've heard some of his songs that weren't that good musically then i stopped and listened to what he said,and got it. I just want to say if anyone is going to listen to anything by zack or rage listen to what he's saying then the song will mean something diffrent. if your looking for something more hip hop then try nelly or fifty or something, this is not for you. oh and one last thing listening to rage doesn't make you a rebel. if thats the reason your listening then you too are missing the point. |
