i was at a wedding, and the bridesmaids started doing this really cool dance around the bride and she sang this to the groom.. well, it was the reception.. she sang really good.. and she took her dress off, from the pure white dress.. innocent looking.. to this black corset and fishnets and boots.. and started dancing like a belly dancer.. i will never forget how many women there were PISSED their guys were staring at the bride and saying how lucky the groom was.. funny because she actually crawled.. it was WAY sexy.. but not in a sleazy way.. it probably sounds really slutty.. to me this song could be about rape.. i feel this song could about any girl that was naive and had a relationship with a guy was "stronger" than her.. like the girl considered herself a "little girl" like bing naive about love, sex, life.. and the guy showed her a lot, but then turned into a monster and hurt her.. it COULD be rape, abuse, anything really.. and i think what "was taken away" was her innocence.. her naivety, he being able to see things on the brighter side.. and she misses that.. and all she sees is the damage he did, and she did to herself.. and she realizes she can't go back, she has to go on, but it hurts.. and wonders if anyone will be there for her.. that's my 2 cents. |

this song makes me think of my ex.. he was a marine, and he would never say goodbye because he knew hw may never come home.. and well, the one time he did say goodbye.. he died.. and the "i'm so hallow, baby" it how i felt for so long without him.... and i used to watch him sleep because when he was home, i couldn't believe he was safe and sound after so many weeks and months i went without him.. and him and i were going to be parents, but i had a miscarriage. and it was tough, but him and i got through it. and he still said "i want it to be you.. i want you to carry on my bloodline." it was an amazing relationship, but we were both young.. i was 18 and he was 21. i was 21 when he died and he was 24. long tough 3 years, but i still miss him but i know i have to move on. |
