| ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead – Sunken Dreams Lyrics | 18 years ago |

So this song prolly the best off of that album, and here is the spoken part. She finished the move resending blew waves of doubt Natured now and blown apart This fury and cruel matriarch She leads me to the edge of my own frail being And my own mortality in question And the sanctity pushed me on and off to the depths of my own cowardly demise And in this decay I find another day will I burn out the stake That I know into the decay another day will I burn out the stake To have a chance to obey And will I start again Where I first began With a flat fluid embrace And I remember when I tried to find her voice In the distorted German channels of my own mind And that seemed long ago, that was so long ago |

I am a huge Mars Volta fan (thus the name) I fail to see the link btw Rouges and Tetragrammaton. Furthermore i disagree that Incubus could be considered "The Doors" of our generation. Given it is your opinion, i have to disagree with that. This album on the other hand to me is on the path they strayed away from what seems like so long ago (S.C.I.E.N.C.E) I have been patiently waiting for them to return to their roots and ever since Make Yourself they have been slowly but surly dropping hints as to what they use to sound like. As far as what this song is about i totally agree with Jenova and those who share similar ideas. One of the best songs off this album. |
