Before they played this song live Jesse says "This song is about Brand New, Kevin and God Damn Band, Manchester, and this tour." It made me believe this song is showing their love/hate towards going on long tours like they're on. Most of the song is pretty easy to understand if you think of it this way. And when hes saying you, he means us as fan. 'When we were made we were set apart' Brand New and us 'But life is a test and I get bad marks Now some saint got the job of writing down my sins' somebody is out there critiqueing everything he does The part "take apart your head" that has more than one vocal is kinda like when everyone is suppose to sing along to this song they wrote. "Well your my favorite bird and when you sing" Idk..by bird he might mean we are his puppets "I really do wish that you wear my ring" He wants us to 'try' his ring on, step into his shoes; or its a ring of power? These are all pretty much my guess on what these lines mean, but the song is definately about life on tour or even just life as a rockstar.... |

| at around 1:50 into the song a new sound comes in. I've been trying to figure it out for more than a week now and I think i hear "A new birth" and then either 2 more words or something after a new birth. I'm really not sure at all it's "A new birth." But there is definately something there. Its sounds a little like the rythm but more monotone so it's really hard to find. | |

| The older version seemed to be stronger and more emotional. This new one just sounds all electronical. I like the old natural voice of adam more than this crap. Can still definately rock out to this song though. | |
