Vanessa Carlton – Prince Lyrics 17 years ago
the drumbeat on this one is awesome

Röyksopp – Only This Moment Lyrics 18 years ago
it's a brilliant song on a big letdown of an album. the key phrase is the last line in the last verse. 'love without pain isn't romance'. big fat period. they should have ended the song there and just gone out strong, you don't need the hook repeated again.

Robbie Williams – Coffee, Tea And Sympathy Lyrics 18 years ago
i have never heard a song with more blatant 'need to use something decent enough to fill this one'-rhyming, i mean. 'don't feel small, if i don't call' & 'if i ever did, don't answer kid'. you can pull this kind of bollocks off pretty easy if robbie doesn't sing some of these lines like he couldn't get to the hook fast enough.

GusGus – Is Jesus your Pal? Lyrics 18 years ago
not role as in a film, role as in the roleplay within the lyrical content.

GusGus – Is Jesus your Pal? Lyrics 19 years ago
very good track. and the best explanation about this is song is that emiliana plays the role of the devil. and i think the thing that makes track is contrast, a very eeiry & moody feel with a subtle slow beat and then emiliana's voice on top. and emiliana has a very light and very girlish voice, and where she is given the role of playing the devil. it's just genius.

Nerina Pallot – Everybody's Gone To War Lyrics 19 years ago
good song, brilliant video, good poppy antiwar song, no war is over (if you want it), but what is.

Britney Spears – The Beat Goes On (Sonny and Cher cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
it's not cher completely, this is a cover of the all seeing i (&jarvis cocker) track with the same name (which indeed has the hook taken from the original cher track). altho jarvis cocker's vocals on the track sounds better than britney's

Underworld – Cowgirl Lyrics 20 years ago
my theory is that it's about the act of sex. karl hyde's lyrics provide enough randomness tho to able to interpret it to other things quite easily but i still think it's about sex

Underworld – Born Slippy Lyrics 20 years ago
plain and simple, it's about karl hyde's alcoholism, he've stated that several times in interview. he was also pissed when it became a drinking song due to the "lager lager lager" lyricline

The Streets – When You Wasn't Famous Lyrics 20 years ago
funny track, more chavtastic rhymes from mike skinner. it's not that good really but it works. the song itself is justr a pisstake about celebrity relationships. the first line is the best one tho.

Paula Cole – She Can't Feel Anything Anymore Lyrics 20 years ago
this one is blatantly about domestic abuse. very dominant song, i love it.

Madonna – Skin Lyrics 20 years ago
very deep track, i would guess madonna's lyrical intention is about human touch withing dreams and the tricks that the mind plays on you. the production on this track is quite special, you hear william orbit's presence all over the track. orbit decided to ditch alot of high frequencies to make this one really deep, and make everything behind of madonna's voice stand out in a matter that you know what happens but maddie is still empowering the track.

Madonna – Shanti/Ashtangi Lyrics 20 years ago
this song is not that weird as madonna, madonna's kaballah crew and will orbit would like to make you think it is. it sure sticks out as a sore thumb in the ray of light album but it's a good track. good production by orbit and madonna makes her best impression to sound mystic and hypnotic. one thing is sure tho, it's a good cut to indulge yourself in some (il)legal drugs in.

Kylie Minogue – Confide In Me Lyrics 20 years ago
one of my favourite post-break-up songs. very simple meaning but it's a comforter in all means. the song was taken from kylie's first album on deConstuction. i feel that the public wasn't ready for the switch of sound, she went from a very poppy sound into a more mature and clubbier sound. the production work by brothers in rhythm make this one of my all time favourites

Tim Buckley – Song To The Siren Lyrics 20 years ago
touching track, the actual symbolism and lyrical content is derived directly from Homer's book the Odessey. But it's really a matter of unresponded love. It is also one of the most covered/remade/remixed songs ever.
