i think it's .. "i've gone to california" instead of i've got california.. also, "budha or a monk" instead of budha/allah and im pretty sure he says "ill be back again" after i'll come home. im not positive.. but those sound pretty clear to me. about the meaning.. im not exactly sure, but i know he doesnt have the best relationship with his dad (all for you - gravity album) and i think its just about him being angry with his dad, wishing he could get away, growing up, and doing it - going a long way from home (canada) and entering a completely different world. - which is exciting at first, but once he is actually in the environment for a while, he realizes how crazy it actually is. in the end - he realizes that he does miss home - and desires to go back. |

| i actually heard that he went to Sudan.. and that he found out while he was there, something about his wife being pregnant..im not sure if she was close to having the baby, or if there were complications... or if she just found out that she got pregnant..but b/c of this.. he had to rush home... which is WHY he wanted to come back (b/c his trip was ended so abruptly) | |

| wow, this song hasnt been talked about in a while.. ;) but i JUST found this site.. and actually saw OLP in concert the summer this cd was released.. and as usual, waited outside by their bus to hang out with the band after the concert (SO cool how they hang out with their fans afterwards) anyways, i had a copy of most of the songs on the cd before it came out (it wasnt out before the concert) and i was actually wondering on the meaning of this song - so i asked raine.. and indeed, the song is about his father. | |
