this is quite obviously about the modern veneration of television, when all it is is just meaningless pictures that "mentally drain' us. |

Under the heavy fire of the not held promises, too thin borders of the insanity, covered the synthesis of all forms of demise. And of ashes from where could be born the last bravados under this heavy fire, under this rotted fire, where one will finish inventing concepts still-born children, before sinking in active resignation, male skilful and morbid, only will remain great moments of daily newspaper, lying, still laughing. And one will go to the confrontation, that one it can or not, that it is wanted it or not, pour in disproportion, to give the exchange and all measurement, to widen the fields of possible, to prune at least the worst. |

| Amanda Woodward – binaire et lisible Lyrics

Translation:
Certainly, one could have been bored still a little more and have invited oneself to dinners between devastated socialist assistants, have been interested vaguely in a smart erotism and not expensive. But even sadness and the trouble, the terror and the fear of the lapse of memory are sights of the spirit to which one subscribes for better forgetting than one git. And yet what one laughs. But all that remains ridiculous and any more no mood puts to me. Modernity, of the binary code and alcohol Some variations around legibility. Certainly, one would have owed ennivrer still a little more and to want to believe in the multiplicity, or to even spend a summer to reading. To drink not to forget from where one comes and where one goes. Failing to make watch of a taste for the asceticism, it was rudimentary to accept the disappearance of the feeling of membership, but even on the most closed lips, it is so easy to read the distance. binary and readable code. |

Even if you have a lot of money, and seem to be this awesome person on the outside, on the inside you are nothing, and you will reap what you sow in the end, for forsaking God for money. ("you're going to get what you deserve") |

| Kansas – Dust In The Wind Lyrics

The phrase "dust in the wind", like a lot of Kansas' lyrics, is biblically themed. The point of the song is that, despite having great riches, it will not stave off death (and judgement?). |

The subject of the song, to me, is a man who has been through a lot of bad shit, and yet is not willing to commit suicide; he would rather suffer intense physical pain, and hope that his tormentors give up eventually. The chorus is pessismistic, however, as he seems to believe that his efforts will be futile, and he will have no respite. |

I'm torn between the "Ride The Lightning" version and the "S&M" version. The addition of the orchestra makes the symphonic nature of the instrumental even more pronounced...but Jason Newsted is no Cliff Burton.
Without a doubt, my favorite instrumental by the group, mainly because of the superior musicianship and technicality. |

| Reggie and the Full Effect – Take Me Home, Please Lyrics

This song is a very personal song to me at least; it reminds me of my ex, who introduced me to reggie. The first night we spent together, she played this song over and over. Even now, I can't help thinking about her when I hear this song. |

| Pink Floyd – The Thin Ice Lyrics
|
The whole "momma loves her baby" nonsense foreshadows the overprotectiveness of Pink's mother.
The part sung by Roger Waters is about the uncertainty of life, and how life often throws us a curve, which leads to going "out of your mind."
This might be the advice of Pink's mother to him, saying to be careful, and that maybe with her guidance, he won't fall through "the ice." |

He is in an abusive relationship, and feels like the only way out is in her hands (unless he kills himself). He wants her to "turn the other way" and get out of his life. He blames her for the state he is in. |

The guy is so madly in love with the girl that he wants to take her away from everything, even if it is only fantasy world. Robert Plant's vocals are always soulful, the guitar solo adds to the whole fantasy theme, and the GONG! I love the gong. That whole ending part just comes out of nowhere. It's great. |

It's a good song, even if it's about drugs.
All the flower references can be metaphorical for the features of a woman too. |

| John Lennon – Stand By Me (Ben E. King cover) Lyrics

Although I do like the song, and I think the music is very beautiful, I think John's voice might be a little too rough for the subject matter. The vocals sound weird (not the voice, but the production), so that might contribute to it. Otherwise, it's a standout track. |
