parts of it sort of sound like hes talking about like,touring and leaving his loved ones behind for months out of the year...
"Two roads split off from here,and my life goes running in opposite directions" he has his life at home and his life on the road...
"into where i dont know, and will i ever get home?
time starts moving, faster than i can, im getting sick of this scene, i need to break the routine"he wants to break the routine of touring and playing shows and going back on the road,and he wants to go away from that,and go back to his normal life at home.
"note to self: i miss you terribly, this is what we call a tragedy, come back to me" This is very straight forward,but can be seen in two different ways...Either he's talking about him missing his family,and wants to see them,or his family and friends want him to come home and see them again...

Whenever I hear the song,it makes me think about a guy who's about to go to war,and he has places he needs to see and things he needs to do before he goes,in case he doesn't come back,so he has to leave his girlfriend/wife/whatever to do it.Also,it makes me think of my friend Dustin that died recently.....RIP Dustin....We miss you,man. |
