Yeah, the song is about feeling and being outcasted. Inspired by Carrie. "The mirror doesn't look like them I guess it never will" -looking into the mirror the singer sees someone who does not fit into the "in crowd" or just with others. He is not the same as them. "The universe is in your hands\Happiness is your best friend. That doesn't appeal to me" -From an outside point of view, looking on accepted crowds it apeers as if they are always happy, can do anything, hold the world in their hands, ect. "That doesn't appeal to me," could either refer to the singer lying to himself and saying he doesn't care or it could be him realizing that the others are not so great and there is no chance for him to get to, "their level," anyways. But yeah, its a song Daron wrote about his feelings of not fitting in and being somewhat of an outcast in high school. |
