I like the MSI version better because its got these lyrics in a different beat and a better singer (in my opinion, obviously) and with a great guitar. I do like the method man original version too, because its more up-beat and interesting, seeing how I heard the MSI version first. |

I love the song and the video very much but I think the song is supposed to be about censorship. The fact that the name of the song is "Shut me up" should be proof enough. If you take the example of the video where the clerk has his mouth covered by a black censorship-like bar that you see in television that is replaced with the lyrics. Cool effect but showing censorship strongly. Then the song goes about how some bands are being forced to change their image like it says with "I can't wait for you to shut me up and hip like badass" |

O.m.g. this song rocks and only two people have comented it? I learned about breaking point by a comercial about 2 years ago... This song has many meanings though. Like beliefs in god, love, or just in a mind game. Also says how we all are different when he says "I can't see just what you're telling me" It's a good song |

This song rocks. I'm listening to the album demon days by Gorillaz and I have no idea what the hell you guys are talking about. Mabye its the ablum but o well. I found this song on the burnout game like many others. Good song. I think its about finding yourself. But when i saw the video it did make me think about war in the song. It sounds like "When fucked in my stumache is a cannonball anchor to lift". It realy sounds like that. |

I love this song so much. I think that this song is trying to say that alot of artist act as if they have a sort of inner pain or just act Emo saying "life sucks" and stuff like that. When he says "you gotta sink to swim" he is trying to say you have to fail sometime in order to progress. like saying practice makes perfect. When he says "keep churning out those hits till it's all the same old shit" he might mean something like you would end up making ablums the have the same meaning or end up reusing verses or words Its a good song by the way. |
