This one reminds me of edgar allen poe. I get where the execution thing is coming from, but i guess i just like the whole horror-story or nightmare thing better. *shrug* |

Unforutnately they will probably blow up soon, they are hitting warped tour already. then all the scene kids will proably shun them and lump them in with other "emo" bands like aiden and my chem.
regardless, i love this band/song! this is probably my favorite lyrically, just bc the story is rather ironic. |

Rock on kbeats that makes sense... so does what prayingmantis said... hmm.
cute poison: I definitely agree with you! I thoguht the same thing, the whole adultery and infidelity and such. In an interview geoff was saying how this song included and/or was supposed to imply "a lot of sexual violence" or something along those lines. |

take away my longing and please someone, please someone, please someone show me the light...
does anyone know what the line is between here and 'please someone kill me, tear me up and throw me away" |

yea demo > finished version... unfortunate. the emotion in the demo is much more natural sounding. and the war part really makes it more realistic to me, tells a story much more effectively. |

i hvent actually heard this song but the lyrics are amazing. its inexpressible. *drops ice cream on comp keyobard* well that kind of ruined the moment but i CANNOT WAIT to hear this song.
Did you hear the trumpets play the day your father died?
Did the violin swell those circles under your eyes?
Did you play the parts straight like a marcher
Or did you get lost in the beat, thinking and feeling?
Did the drums in the street make the people dance or fall to their knees from the sound
Now the leaves from the tree's they fall from the branch
They look beautiful as they hung in the air
totally makes me want to cry for some reason, it could definitely compete with running from the rain too.... may 2nd |

this song is definitely called "the other side of the crash," it is a kind of reincarnation of an idea they have had for a long time. check out their web site (thursday.net) They posted a podcast and geoff talks all about it and you can hear part of the finished song. sure enough the chorus has changed significantly, but only for the better, as thursday can do no wrong. i less-than-three thursday. and all of you. |

shallow people, who the hell are any of you to tell eachother that they are blatantly wrong just becasue your own opinion is in disagreement?! btw, no one cares what band is better. of course i agree with giving credit to this sigur ros band, but you all should respect that thursday is a completely different band and OBVIOUSLY their interpretation is going to be different. |
