When I hear this song....I see a video for this song...and it's bjork, and anthony...like floating in space....but it looks like they are under water....w/ mostly close ups of their eyes, and basicly they are just sharing a moment of love, this song is more about lust...mixed w/ begining love, hence the "dull flame of desire" the lust is becoming love w/ every glance....love this song......then the full flame part! turns into love... |

wow..this song say's alot actually, yeah i agree it's about her music...and saying she doesn't have this artist thing down yet...atleast she feels like it..but this song alsoe reminds me of fight club, oddly enough, just like ghost of corparate future...she is saying she is not liking the way the world is going...just like in fight club...i don't know |

well....when i first heard this song i didn't know what it was about, and i like to imagine what it could be about...if i wrote it...and this one just makes feel like the youth of a generation is saying that the older generation is building us up like we are the future of america will be great but when it doesn't go they wanted it, the older generation blames the younger generation for everything wrong about the world. or the other way i saw it was, we have this statue of blackhawk the indian by my hometown rockford, and i always picture ppl going by blowing bubble....they "early americans" respected the indians..but stole from them "living in a den of thieves" blamed the indians for things and "it's contagious" means it still goes on today...we are doing thing like that all over again. "we search for answers of how to fix it "rumaging for answers in the pages" (of history). but that's just me |

you all have it correct i bet...that's what is so great about her music...if it's a good song you can related to any storyline you want..it goes into your heart and in your minds eye it play's out....different everytime i play the song but the main one that play's in my head is the story of sampson and delilah and just them laying around in love w/ each other she was this person that was nitorious for sleeping with many men but she had this new thing she had to do for the goverment to get close enough to this man to cut his hair..and she fell for him..and that was her downfall...falling for him...she cut his hair..but..regreted it....and at the same time i see that story and a modern one with regina trying to get close to a man, or maybe she fell inlove w/ a man she never thought she would fall in love with...but mainly an awsome song... |
