What a great song by Distrubed, best on the album by far. It's about the intensity of playing a show in front of so many pumped up fans. What a great song to lead off their shows, I wish I went. :( |

To me this song has 2 voices. There is a depressed wanderer, who feels disconnected from the world, and wants nobody's sympathy. He's lost faith in his religion and can't figure out why he deserves his unfortunate situation. He feels like his bad luck will follow him wherever he goes, and is always persistant. The other voice is the chorous, which is his god, telling him that he isn't here to serve an individual, but everybody, and that not everybody can be happy with their life. |

I think it is quite possible that this song is about the evils of war, but some lines struck me that made me think this could also be about The Great Depression.
