| Sublime – 54-46 That's My Number/Ball and Chain Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| 5446 was Toot's from Toots and the Maytals prison number from when he was falsely arrested for ganja possesion. The first verse of the song is about this, about how he wouldnt be fool enough to carry ganja around and get arrested for possesion in Jamaica. | |

| Sublime – Badfish Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I agree that this song is about drug addiction, it can be seen in the first few lines. When you grab a hold of me Tell me that I'll never be set free But I'm a parasite Creep and crawl, I step into the night This is about the feelin of comfort from using drugs, yet in reality he is a parasite. I think the phrase Lord knows I'm weak Won't somebody get get me off this reef? Is about admitting the addiction, and asking for help. The hold down on a reef after a wipeout can be a scary/painful experience and he is likening this to being a drug addict. RIP Brad |
