Anathema is much better then HIM.. i enjoyed them when they supported porcupine tree, it was geat about the song.. funny haha at a first glance i thought it was about being drunk..drinking away your problems and killing yourself that way.. but i think now it is about a relationship indeed |

Well i am from dutch: the songs is about how we humans are fucking up the world: animals die, the earth cries but no one pays attention to it. We humans are blinded by the enemy we and we think it is our friend. the second: satan lives between us./ with power, money and pleasure he corrupts the heart of men. and kills the love for the person next to you third:we forgot the warning jahweh gave us. the growing disasters, the coming of wars and violence. It suprises us even while it has been told to us that it would happen. four: these are the signs of the end of our time, when the anti-chirst wil come Five: little the same as 1 six: we live in the lord called jahweh, the god of israel jezus christ and the holy spirit/ghost seven: can't you see that everything that hapens is as god has told us in his word ? (the bible) what do you want more to proof this? jezus is the mightiest living god that comes close to what the lyrics say. Funny slechtvalk is a dutch metal band if you hear them they sound like death metal but they seem to be christians.. it pleasures me to see that there is metal that ís heavy and does not always has lyrics about destrusction and worshipping satan |

bah..People who say that christians are small minded are actually small minded themselves..NOT EVERY CHIRSTIAN is or thinks exactly the same as the other, how would you like to be placed in cages ? bleg pisses me off.. I am chistian myself, does that mean i am small minded beceause i see jesus as my saviour ? I agree that there are christians who try to close their minds and do not want to hear anything else. I have studied many religions myself.. in fact they all have something like this one is good and the other bad.. believe is something you can't explain or tell you have to experience it. The christian bible says that we should spread the word of god to everyone, to tell people about his great things and love. I don't see myself any better beceause of my believe.. but for me it's the way to salvation. If you think there is another way for you that's great. But for christians there isn't beceause that's why its called believe ? and obey your god. other believe's are just the same if you truly believe in your religion (whatever that may be)you feel and know that it's the only good one. it is such a pitty that when you are a christian you are called small minded, a stupid follower or whatever. In fact every believer (no mather what religion) is a follower even those who dont believe, they follow themselves and do what''s best for them.. isn't that small minded as well ?! or playing your own god and doing as you please. i don't see a difference. now about the song well i don't like the lyric, (the music is great though) the way of singing als well. Layne had a great voice. |

ehh "Play these strings until my fingers are blue" its: "Play these strings until my fingers are Raw" anyway this a verry agressive pink floyd song when you hear the music. Direct after the slow and nice cluster one.. a hard drum and yellnig guitar noise.. great.. To me personal the song says something about someone. Who does thing for his of her partner but it's not enough for the other so.. this person starts asking what do you want me to do more then i already do.. |
