I completely agree with you little miss f. The song is self explanitory, and yet still so beautiful. I think that everyone goes through this one time or another during there lifetime. Even so, everytime I hear this song, it brings me right back into the moment of it all.

I llllooooooovvvvveeeeeeeeeeee this song. It's not a typical love song about all this fairy tale "I'll go to the end of the earth for you" type of crap that you hear everyday on the radio. It's about... infactuation with beauty... and that first feeling when you begin to fall in love with someone and it just hits you like a ton of bricks... you know that they're all you can think about and you want it all with them.. and you want it now. This song just brings something over me....

I remember the first time I ever heard this song, (3.. maybe 4 years ago..?) and it blew me away.. I felt like it had been written for me. I had been in a relationship just like that, down to a T, and was in the process of cutting all ties. (odd, I just read slave86's comment the second I finished typing that... took a deep breath and realized this relationship only made it to 2 years..*phew) I gave everything I had in me to him and he used it against me. First loves can be cruel, to say the least.

I've read/listened to this song too many times to count... and each time I read it I find it means something different.. weird when one song can mean so many things. THIS time I think I've come to my final conclusion.. I think it's about a relationship where two people who are in complete love, are going through a test of times. He let's her down big time, and things just go down hill. "When you try your best but you don't succeed...." "Stuck in reverse". Sometimes it's hard to see someone you love not come through for you... and maybe realize.. this might not be forever "when you lose something you can't replace....." And maybe as hurt as she feels she doesn't want to let him go... "but if you never try then you'll never know, just what your worth" .. to him... And in the end she is worth it... "I promise you I will learn from my mistakes... And I will try and fix you". Chris Martin is definatly an artist... I die a little every time I listen to this song... *sigh
