| Darius Danesh – Time Of Your Life Lyrics | 19 years ago |

youngmelon, this song was originally by Green Day, and then it was covered by Darius Danesh. Anyway, it's a good song. Pretty straightforward, but it's a reflection of how some things are fleeting, and all you can do is look back on them, hopefully fondly. |

I agree with the above comments about feeling lonely and that nobody can empathize with you, then coming to the realization that you're far from alone in your emotions. I also agree with the idea stated above that the song is even more relevant nowadays, with the growing popularity of the Internet. Interestingly enough, looking at some people's interpretations of love songs at this site, I've actually experienced a similar "epiphany" myself. I've recently been feeling kinda down in the dumps about a failed relationship, only to find that several users are going/have gone through something almost identical to my situation. Furthermore, talking to other friends and/or hearing about other people (including celebrities) who have been unlucky in love certainly makes one feel much less alone. I consider this one of the most universally relevant lyrics ever written. |

I find this song to be quite offensive. Is that because of the overt sexuality of the lyrics? Not at all; on the contrary, I have no problem with that whatsoever. What DOES offend me, however, is the complete and utter lack of creativity involved. The chorus is brainless enough, but I consider the following even worse: (Nelly hang all out) Mix a little bit a ah, ah With a little bit a ah, ah (Nelly just fall out) Give a little bit a ah, ah With a little bit a ah, ah (Nelly hang all out) With a little bit a ah, ah And a sprinkle a that ah, ah (Nelly just fall out) I like it when ya ah, ah Girl, Baby make it ah, ah I find it ridiculous that someone with the apparent intelligence quotient of a house plant can become a multi-millionaire while true artists with infinitely more talent struggle to earn a living. Not that money is an accurate reflection of one's artistic quality, but I think it's rather pathetic nonetheless. And even forgetting about the financial aspect, I can't believe that nearly 300 people have commented on such a stupid lyric, and most of the responses have been positive! It's no wonder that this country's in such bad shape. I used to wonder how Bush could possibly have gotten elected to a second term, but when I consider the fact that so many Americans apparently listen to -- and LIKE -- shit like this, it all becomes clear. I guess there really is no accounting for the tastes of others... |
