what does everybody think of the line :"The moment you decided to let love in
Now I'm banging on the door of an angel"? To me it's saying that they've had this back and forth kinda relationship where they never could admit the love they have for eachother at the same time. Now he realizes..."damn, she loved me, but now im not exactly sure." so he's banging on the door like..."hey...wait, I love you!" Just wondering what you make of this line. |

jumping into the ocean symbolizes his purity. connect it to him taking everything off. nothing of what he has can make him completely pure, except the ocean. except the world. he even says "My life is brilliant, my LOVE is Pure" being high has nothing to do with drugs....he was in love...actually James Blunt is love itself. He's a pure soul, that's why nobody understands this song, but everybody loves it. |

He holds her hand when he's asleep, because he's a DREAMER. He loves her, always will, but fate tore them apart...he's hopefull that they'll be together again.
As for "seeing the end before we'd begun" it means that he knew he'd always love her, always be with her in one capacity or another. She was blinded, because she didn't believe, then she did, then he longer believed her.....with out her he's hollow. but he's hopeful they'll be together again...when their dreams and their lives meet...and he kneels at her feet....it's a beautiful song |

It's about Phish's view of the "fans" The band is on the stage (the hill) and the fans are on the lowlands. They broke up, because Phish started to become something they never wanted to be.
so, phish went on hiatus, to see if it could stop, but it all just became larger than life...which is exactly what they didn't want. If the fans could change, then the band would have continued to play...They felt like they were standing still, and the world wasnt waiting for them...so the fans either had to get rid of the devil, or the band was going to do it....the band did it. |
