It really inspires me to see all these Chrisitan fans of switchfoot and even non chrisitan fans because even though Their songs have to do with God other people can still enjoy them. Thanks for the comments., i know they wern't for me. But it's still inspriing to see all the people defending this band and what their really singing about. I'm still confused though as to wheither he's talking about a girl whos on fire for God and he's oberving this Girl he cares for who is " on fire " for God as well as he's on fire. OR wheither the whole song is about God. Anyways, beautiful song. Really hit me deep. |

I feel in love with this song instantly. I reccomend it to anyone who loves soft/ relazing songs. It's so peacful, the way she sings it. This song always puts me to sleep, but not in a bad way. It's so beautiful that it lulls you to sleep. |

She's talking about a boy that is careless about how he lives his life , " a kind of agression against himself" I see this comment as her saying this " agression against himself" can mean drug abuse, constant partners etc. She's saying he loves the thrill of doing all these destructive things to himself. She feels hurt , and probably has tryed to talk him out of it. Her " angry angel " that is looking at him with " discrace" Represents her Conscious inside . On the oustide she says " i'm not feelin guilty" because she has tryed her best to stop him. " To release himself from this shell" She's saying he's a shallow guy who abuses his body and soul so that he can feel real. From his maybe even " boring self" Her last line " I don't care i'm flying" She decides or already decided in the song that She's not going to care. Because she did all she could . And because she let that burden of watching over him trying to help him she's " flying". |

Can't figure this song out as much as her others so far... She's explaining how down her life is , how even when it's supposed to be good turns out bad. ex " Rain drain my play away , Sun gun me down and burn me" THe rain represents the obvious bad things that can happen and the sun representing the something that is supposed to be good to her turns out to be bad or even worse. " shine-i will not cry and i will not die" Even though her hardships she is trying to not be weak (cry represents weak to her) she'll be there for herself at the least. She will "shine" or rise above it. " you will love me as a winner" She is either talking to God or to a boy she likes or perhaps even a friend. I take it she's talking to God since it gives no other hints then that one line that could make it a person shes in love with or person etc. Plus alot of songs she writes is talking to God. |

This song starts out as her explaining crap going on in her life " bombarded" by the phone in my own home" " can't get the space that i needed" Life is dark for her now. " oh me oh my when i look at my life " She's not pleased with how her life is going. And the main question in the song , her main question " God , are you there?" She can't find him. She's lost her connection with him and is asking if he's even there anymore. If he's even out there , anywhere . Lol, to bad this artist doesn't get much comments on her other songs like this. |

THis is a pretty deep song. This song is about her onlook on Religion, even deeper her outlook on God. "will you be there when i need you?" Here she's asking God if he will be there when she needs him. At first i thought she was poking fun at religion , sprituality etc everything to do with it. But this line changed my mind " You have the answer to all of these" She says this after comparing good and bad things in life together , and after saying that "religion " has the answer to these. God actually. She questions God basiclly in this song. I probably already hinted that or said it but, oh well . "When my body wants to go Tell me will my mind and soul Live on and on forever Am i on another level" These lines are some of her questions. XoXo |

This song is explaining her experience and feelings toward a childhood bully it seems. It reminds me of how I felt years later after 5th grade when the kids that bullied me ended up apologizing for the three years of torture i was given. It was ironic to me. And i enjoyed it , when they apologized i reacted somewhat coldly in reply. Kid's can be cruel as hell. This is an awesome song. Bitter yes, but she explains her points and pain across beautifully. " The only times of my life The sun was meant to shine for me You made it pour down, pour down with tears of rain" To me these lines say that in the prime of her life, her childhood that should be enjoyed was spoiled by this boy who brought her life down during this period in her life. "Encaged by your obsession with me" This line obviously can be taken in different ways. Doubtful though this could have meant he liked her, that type of obsession. But i personally take this comment as her saying his obsession with bullying her. To sum it up this is a bitter song about this girls past with this bully and years later her revenge. Awesome song |
