| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
After listening to this song repeatedly for many hours it sounds more and more to me as though the bride did something in the past and now the bridesmaid and waiter are gossiping. "I chimed in, haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn door," is the groom saying why can't you just let it be in the past, close the door on what has already happened, leave it alone, stop talking about it. He goes on to state "technically our marriage is saved." They've gotten over their problems and the marriage is saved. If taken in this context the song is basically a call to forget what has hppened inthe past, despite the gossip and rumors and move on with their lives. I think this is just one of a few valid interpreataions for this wicked song. |

This is my favourite song of Jamie's. It's just about how he's with this girl who's kind of flakey, always wants her own way and such. Then she starts flirting, sending signals but he's not buying it "I feel your foot brush against my leg, I'm not that easily led" They are both playing a kind of game but the result is left ambiguous. Who won? We may never know because "a gentleman never kisses and tells" |

| I agree with oball, it's just about life on the road, going nowhere, everywhere, anywhere. Great song even though I don't usually like this kind of stuff. | |

I Love this sonG, It's my new favourite for sure. I agree with what everyone's saying pretty much. They are having sex one last time and they know it. "he starts with her back, cause thats what he sees when shes breaking his heart, she still f*cks like a tease"..s the best lines, so hollow yet rich and beautiful Gorgeous |
