I feel like there are too many references to this song having a more specific story than just getting your hopes let down. A song about that doesn't need all the lines about houses and wires. |

I assume that that set of lyrics is from the booklet that comes with the CD, because there are many missing lyrics (as stated above) and other ones that are just blatantly wrong (such as the line "sing the requiem" is actually "play the requiem").
As for meaning, this song seems to relate back to the beginning of the CD (as it has been stated). This song however doesn't have the same meaning as the first (not including the introduction), it has the complete opposite. Planning a Prison Break deals with figuring out who you are and changing yourself for the better. The main analogy is "its the last night in my body" which shows that the person is changing. This song is either the end of the plan to change oneself or atleast a minor setback. The first song deals with breaking out of prison and this one seems like someone (probably the one who helped you break out) sold you out and your going back in. I think the lyrical evidence is pretty blatant and I don't need to show which lyrics mean what. |
