Radiohead – Paranoid Android Lyrics 19 years ago
the song is about the jealousy connected with being ignored by someone you love (why don't you remember my name) , and the anger that follows it

littlethree has got it right. Good music will open doors to what their meanings are, not drag you through.

Billy Joel – Piano Man Lyrics 20 years ago
What a great song. It makes me remeber certain things and certain people, and whenever I hear it I stop and think about them.

Absolutely mind blowing. Sad, yet soothing at the same time.

I am by no means a rap fan, but this song is pretty awesome. I love the way it is DJ'd and Synthed. It must be nice not having women problems.

Metallica – Purify Lyrics 20 years ago
This is about getting rid of the bad and getting ready to start again, not dancing with what have could have been, just stripping it and starting anew.

Metallica – Fade To Black Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is pretty deep for about a bunch of material goods being stolen. I think it is evident that it is about depression and losing yourself in either vice, through a death, or anything. I think "I was me, but now He's gone" pretty much shows it.

^ I find that clears alot of it up, it is an excellent interview.

The Wall is a good album, my favorite album of all time, but I don't think it's very Pink Floyd-ish. It is kind of like the way I like St.Anger, but it isn't really Metallica.

As far as "sell-out" Metallica goes, I like this.

Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics 20 years ago
Also children, no one over 15 admits to liking this song, if you don't include people with Downs Syndrome.

Go listen to Hendrix, Clapton, Pink Floyd, even GNR is a step up from this drek.

Ooops, probably too many words here for the average Green Day fan.

Also, FYI, using more exclamation points in your post just shows that you have a severe handicap, it doesn't make what you said any more true.

Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics 20 years ago
Absolutely a horrible song. Teaching people to blindly hate something without any knowledge of what it is with 5 different power chords and 11 different notes in the solo, not even a full scale. Their guitar player is almost 35, I know 19 year olds that write better songs than this.

An absolutely sickening display of "music" and the lower music standard of this generation. Worst song ever.

No doubt it is about "the beautiful people", a la marilyn manson.

Nirvana – Something in the Way Lyrics 20 years ago
Probably not the way t3h kurdt intended it, but I interpret as something in the way being one obstacle blocking you and all your emotions and you can't get around it. For example, if your parents or spouse died, you wouldn't care about anything else and couldn't see or think clearly because something is in the way.

Pink Floyd – Nobody Home Lyrics 20 years ago
I think "pink" is obviously a depressed character at this point. He's got a strong urge to fly, But nowhere to fly to.

Pink Floyd – Pigs on the Wing (Part 2) Lyrics 20 years ago
I think that a "shelter from pigs on wings" is an intimate relationship. My logic in thinking that is that "pigs on the wings" in any sort of sense are enemies, but if you have a deep meaningful relationship, they can't harm you emotionally.
