| To me this song never really meant drugs, though I can see how that could relate. To me it was always about animal instinct, although nothing in the song really supports that except for the opening telephone call. | |

I dunno. Though I love TSOL I think I like what Alkaline Trio did with this song more. Matt Skiba's voice is smoother, and I think the instruments are more distinct. Moving on: To me, this song could be one of two things. One, a guy who's sad because his girlfriend/lover died. Or, two, he views it as her being dragged away because he's in denial, like he thinks that it's somehow not her fault. |

| No. Actually they're doing Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV: Volume 2. That's the fifth part of the story. Then they'll release The Bag Online Adventures, the first part of the story. After that, they might just start releasing non-concept albums, not sure. | |

| Drivin Fetus. 1: Patrick dies in 33. 2: This sites for interpretting lyrics, not critisizing them. Yes, we all know it's not the most creative lyric out there, get over it. | |
| Bayside – They Looked Like Strong Hands Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Well, I the first thing I notice is the title, "They Looked Like Strong Hands". Anybody else catch that Neverending Story reference. Oh well, not the point. Almost sounds like he's talking about trying to impress people though music, what with the line about stagedives. But then, I don't think it was meant to be taken that literally. Afterall, some words are added for poetic effect. I think it's basically just him saying that people look at him with too many expectations. That people view him as being better than he is. But that could just be me. |

Now, I don't have the comic, but seeing as how they visit the Writer a lot in the CD, I'd have to say that it's the Writer thinking about Erica Court. Whenever I hear "Do you remember why she did it? Do you remember why she left?" it makes me think of Erica leaving him. And since he also says "I hope you die right now" that means she's still alive. So this would mean that Ten Speed is talking him into killing Erica/Ambellina. Just a guess, don't bite my head off if I'm wrong, this story gets confusing. |
