I understand some of this song but I need help with the rest. I can't believe only one other person has commented on this song. It's my favorite Tom Petty song, too. Still I think of her when the sun goes down It never goes away, but it all works out I have an idea but no real detailed thoughts on this line? Does it mean his thoughts of her never go away and she will never really be gone? |

| This song is so wonderful.. it gets stuck in your head but you want it to! Atleast I do, anyway. My friend is into pop and she despises Bright Eyes ever since she heard them for the first time. I got her to look up the lyrics to some of their songs, and even SHE agrees that Bright Eyes has very amazing lyrics. This song is a prime example of that. I find myself singing this song everywhere I go and I feel like I can relate to it from a past relationship. | |

| I am in LOVE with this song. Conor knows how to write songs so well.. It's like sometimes I can't put how I feel into words but it seems like when I listen to Bright Eyes I feel like Conor's put it into words for me. And I cannot believe that Conor says he's never been in love. I mean holy crap! LOOK AT THOSE LYRICS. How is it that he knows the feelings and emotions of love and describes them so well and yet has never experienced it? | |
