Is it just me who realizes this poem-that's right-is three parts? The first his present situation. Take from it what you want; it's art. He portrays and you decipher. You could picture him in a stagnant, misguided society, but maybe he's just lonely and wants love. It's how he feels. And he wants it to change. The second section is what he wants to happen. It's his dream. His solution, if you will. The old world crumbles and he's left with what he wants, so he embraces it. The third is what ends up happening, almost putting him back in the same position. That's my meaning, but the relevance is completely different. As is your diiscerning from mine. And that's while I'll listen to this voice over and over and over and over.

It's about trying to play a show, where all these people paid money to see you play your songs, and the only song you want to sing is this cover that you grew up with, fell in love with, patterned your life after, which you finally understand what it's saying and finally think you earned the right to sing. Oh, and the girl just broke you silly. |
