Kenny Wayne Shepherd – Blue On Black Lyrics 20 years ago
I believe this song represents a failure. Some one who has reached the a place where few people have or every will. He is questioning the very truths which govern his total existance. This is a song about a man who is waiting to die.

Ringside – Tired Of Being Sorry Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with the previous writer, however, I don't think he is in love with anyone but himself. The vampires are definitly the adicts. There is someone, a woman perhaps, who does love him, although it could be a close friend. He wants to kick the habbit, "I'm tired of being sorry" is a reference to coming down from his highs. Even tho he knows he is loved, he cannot love back, not until he has conquered his own personal demons. He "crys out" for someone, but they can't hear him because he is communicating in a way only he can understand.

Ringside – Struggle Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is about someone who is trying to move on but is being held back. That is obvious, what isn't obvious I think is that it is told in two perspectives. The chorus is a different person, even tho the singer does not change. The person sung about is some kind of former athlete, who is wanting to return to a dangerous sport, which he refers to as "bed" in the chorus. The bed is sometimes call the womb, or place of familiarity. That's what this arean of competition is to this former player, his place where he belongs. His friends however know that he should no longer be doing what he once did, and they are happy to have him on the sidelines where he might be physically safe, but is dying inside. Internal "Struggle"
