fuzzyslippers, nothing against you, but everytime a song sounds like it is agressive/against authority/rebellious in general, there is someone saying it would be about religion.Really, I do not believe there are so many musicians out there having so many thoughts that are convertible into so many songs about mere religion.This At The Drive-In song is one of my favourites, actually-Cedric IS a great singer, and even if he'd be singing lullabys, I'd love them.;) |

I really like that song.I mean, that actually Frank Farian is singing the part instead of the black dancer was quite a shock to me.I think it's about getting money out of some people, since Frank Farian later produced Milli Vanilli.;) Still, it's groovy. |

Actually, I really like that song.Is there a musician who has Spanish as mother tongue?If you want to analyze a song, you should also remember that the linguistic structures depend on the music and that both together are important for the actual message.
So I'd go with whoever said it:"Take the music" or, if you go into deeper analyzing, you have to see the music together with the lyrics.
And to Cygnus 666-if you're an American of Latin (something like that?) descendant, you're white yourself.The race of the whites goes from Spain to Arabia down to the Sahara.Only if you are of Afro-Latin or however it is called descendant you are not white.I'm coloured, which is mixed, myself and let me tell you: The race-thing is useless, it's stupid, most people are dumb and I'm happy when I find someone who is different-and then the race is of no matter anymore.That's like bitching about a precious stone being red or blue.;) |
